The special needs of technical diving have changed the shape of B/Cs by moving all the aft volume to the diver's back. Mares has developed this concept of "back- mounted" B/Cs, taking it to the highest technical level.
Syncro TechSyncro Tech is the perfect solution for the diver who wishes to benefit from a buoyancy compensator offering the greatest freedom during the dive but who does not want to give up the comfort of traditional B/Cs.  Syncro Tech is an uncompromised choice. Its structure which is made of bulletproof 1200 Denier nylon is entirely independent of the inflatable bask. Designed to provide the best fit under all conditions and all types of exposure suits, this B/C makes it extremely easy to fit the tank even when the diver is in the water.  The padded SO mm shoulder straps are designed to prevent entangling and are equipped with highly resistant quick-adjust and quick-release buckles. The large padded waistband with Velcro closure features the pre-adjustment ACS system. The closure strap can be rapidly adjusted. A chest lanyard adjustable from both sides, is provided to keep the shoulder straps in their natural position. The Syncro backpack features a high friction counterplate to ensure the highest tank stability. It is also ideal for connecting the B/C to the double tank set.  Syncro Tech is designed to meet any and all requirements and dive types, setting it apart from the competition.

Pockets
A pocket with a zip closure is provided on the front of the waistband and gives access to a second expandable pocket. Two deep rollable pockets are fitted at the weight belt level. When they are not needed, they are rolled up to mininlise the overall dimensions.

Integrated Weight System
The waistband contains two large horizontal housings for the weight belt; these are equipped with a quick-release system and closed by a double Velcro safety strap. The weights are released by pulling two opposing knobs. Each housing can contain up to 6 kg of weights; these are connected by an appro- priate strap. Therefore, the total ballast can reach 12 kg.

D-rings
Four 50 mm D-Rings are fitted on the shoulder straps. Two 20 mm D-Rings are positioned in the middle, and two 40 mm D-Rings are fastened at the bottom side. All of these are made of tarnished stainless steel.

Bladder
The inflatable part of Syncro Tech is of the single bladder type and is made of highly resistant 840 Denier nylon.  With a simple operation, the standard 27 kg bladder buoyancy can be replaced with a smaller 20 kg bladder (optional). The bladder features a unique technical solution. To prevent the masses within it from becoming unbalanced, which occurs in certain positions when wearing this type of B/Cs, the lower ends are now connected so that air can circulate freely inside the bladder.

LP Inflator
Buoyancy is controlled by the Ergo inflator which features a progressive action air intake button, a fine purge button, and an upper pull-type exhaust valve. The pull-type rapid exhaust valve is fitted on the right shoulder; its control line runs along the shoulder strap. Another overpressure and rapid exhaust waive is fitted on the bottom.  Syncro Tech weighs 4 kg and when deflated its buoyancy is negative. Syncro Tech is black with reflecting silver logos which are high frequency printed on the shoulder straps and on the inflatable section.
